Marshall is a uniform school! What does that mean?
We ask that students wear white or navy clothing unless we notify you about a “Free Dress Day”. Kids are encouraged but not obligated to wear it.
As a public school, uniforms are something that the families vote and decide on.
- We ask that your child come to school in clothes appropriate for the diverse learning environments they will engage in throughout the day — PE, art, science, etc. For more details, please check out the SFUSD dress code.
- For safety of the children, closed-toe shoes only please — No sandals, high heels, slippers or flip-flops.
What can my child wear to school?
tl;dr anything white or navy
- White or Navy Blue Shirts
- Navy Blue Bottoms
- Navy Blue Sweaters
- Closed-Toed Shoes
Talk to Ms. Araceli and Ms. Elaine if you have concerns on purchasing uniforms.
PLEASE LABEL ALL YOUR CHILD’S CLOTHING WITH THEIR FIRST AND LAST NAME.

What other Marshall parents have to say about the uniform…
I like how the uniform makes it acceptable for kids to wear the same thing every day.

The uniform has made our mornings so much easier, especially with the big emotions of transitioning to kindergarten!
